Return policy
Thank you for shopping at CABINSGATE SMART FURNITURE. We want you to love your purchase, but we also understand that sometimes a piece may not fit your sanctuary as you envisioned.
Because our furniture is crafted with care and shipped directly from our specialized partners, our return policy is designed to be clear and fair for everyone.
1. Our 14-Days Return Window
You have 14 days from the date your item is delivered to request a return. After 14 days, we cannot offer a full refund or exchange.
1. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
Unused and in the same condition that you received it.
In its original packaging (this is critical for furniture to prevent damage during return shipping). Please keep all boxes, foam, and protective materials.
Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. We cannot process returns without proof of original order.
1. Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
Custom or personalized furniture (e.g., special fabric orders, non-standard configurations).
Items marked "Final Sale" or "Clearance."
Any item that has been assembled, altered, or installed.
Gift cards.
1. Return Process
To start a return, you must contact us first.
Contact Us: Email our support team at cabinsgatesmartfurniture@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery. Please include your order number, the item you wish to return, and photos of the item in its original packaging.
Receive Authorization: Do not send your item back without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. We will provide this along with the return shipping address.
Pack & Ship: Carefully repack the item in its original packaging. Securely attach the RMA label (if we provide one). You are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.
Inspection: Once we receive the item, our team will inspect it within 5-7 business days. We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
1. Restocking Fee
Due to the nature of furniture logistics, all non-defective returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee will be deducted from your refund amount.
1. Return Shipping Costs
For change-of-mind returns: You are responsible for all return shipping costs. These costs are non-refundable. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your return otherwise.
For defective or damaged items: See Section 7 below. We will cover return shipping for verified defects.
1. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery.
48-Hour Inspection Period: You have 48 hours from delivery to report any of the following:
Major structural damage or defect.
Missing parts or components.
Receiving the completely wrong item.
How to Report: Email us at Cabinsgatesmartfurniture@gmail.com with "DAMAGED ORDER #[Your Order Number]" in the subject line. Include clear photos or a short video showing the damage, defect, or error.
Resolution: For verified damage/defects, we will arrange one of the following:
Send replacement parts.
Arrange for a full refund (including original shipping costs).
Provide a return shipping label at our expense.
Note: Minor cosmetic imperfections or variations in wood grain, fabric texture, or color that do not affect the function or structural integrity of the piece are considered characteristics of the handmade materials and are not eligible for return as defects.
1. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval.
Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
1. International Returns (Canada & Nigeria)
CABINSGATE SMART FURNITURE ships to the United States, Canada, and Nigeria.
For Canada & Nigeria: Return shipping costs, customs fees, duties, or taxes for returned items are entirely your responsibility. We strongly advise using a shipping service that provides tracking and insurance.
